As a local creative, there is nothing quite like seeing your work out in the wild, especially when it becomes a permanent fixture in your hometown! I am incredibly excited to share that some of my recent designs are now permanently attached to the sea wall on our promenade.
I never thought I’d be able to say my work is literally attached to a sea wall, but here we are! This project was a bit different for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed the unique challenge it presented.
Highlighting Our Beautiful Coastline
If you take a stroll down the prom, right opposite the leisure centre, you can’t miss them. 12 brightly coloured information boards were designed to highlight some of the incredible historic and scenic spots along our coastline.
Whether you are a local or a visitor, these boards will guide you through the stories of landmarks like Ravenscraig Castle, Dysart Harbour, and Seafield Tower.
The Design Process
Creating these boards was an absolute joy. Each of the 12 designs was digitally hand-drawn. To bring these local landmarks to life and give them that vibrant, welcoming feel, I used a mix of real-life reference photos combined with a little bit of imagination.
A True Local Collaboration
This fantastic initiative was commissioned by Fife Council – Place and Tourism. It is always a privilege to collaborate on projects that celebrate and elevate our local community.
A shoutout also goes to The Sign Co, a fantastic fellow Fife business, who did an incredible job printing the final boards. They made sure the artwork is durable and the colours truly pop against the backdrop of the sea and sky.

Seeing these boards up on the sea wall is a proud moment, but the project isn’t over just yet. There are more designs to come in another location soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
